The Population Health Data Scientist I is a full stack analyst responsible for producing highly visible analytics used to measure DVACO physician performance in Medicare and commercial Value Based Purchasing contracts. Specifically, this person will develop algorithms, dashboard applications, and other reporting to track and trend key performance metrics (quality of care and financial performance vs contract targets) using paid medical claims and other external data sources. This role engages from end-to-end, serving both in a technical/data engineering role as well as assisting or leading the development of new dashboards, reports, and other analytical solutions.

Position: Population Health Data Scientist I
Shift: 40hr/wk
Experience:
- Maintains proficiency and expertise in Health Plan data applications, state of the art business intelligence software and reporting tools that include, but are not limited to:
- MS SQL Server or similar SQL database technologies (Dashboarding products like MS Power BI or Tableau
- Python, R, or other statistical programming languages
- Version control tools such as Git.
- Data ingestion pipelines using cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.)
- Grouper and predictive modeling software
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Able to present findings and explain analyses to non-technical audiences.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in data science, analytics, actuarial science, risk management or a related field.
